COVID-19 FAQ

Will Volkswagen and all authorized Das WeltAuto dealerships be open during the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period?

All dealerships are open. However, due to the current situation, some service departments may be closed temporarily or have restricted opening hours. We recommend calling your local Dealer to confirm their hours of operation.

What steps are being taken to ensure that I am safe when I drop my vehicle off or pick it up?

The health of customers and staff is our priority. In the matter of vehicle preparation and handovers Volkswagen Malaysia has recommended exemplary cleaning procedures to its Dealers. This involves the use of disinfectants and emphasises cleaning the most commonly touched surfaces:

  •    Door handles (interior and exterior) and interior door pulls
  •   Window switches / handles
  •   Steering wheel
  •   Gear shift knobs and levers
  •   In-car controls and knobs (entertainment units and similar)
  •   Seat belts and buckles
  •   Centre consoles
  •   Boot handles / releases
  •   Fuel releases / flaps
  •   Staff wear disposable gloves and facemasks during this process

 

I have made full payment for my vehicle and have also scheduled for the vehicle to be delivered during the Recovery Movement Control Order period. How will this be handled?

A representative from the dealership will be in touch with you to confirm the vehicle delivery date at your convenient.

Will my warranty be void if I miss my appointment during the Recovery Movement Control Order period?

If your service appointment happens to fall within the Recovery Movement Control Order period, and your preferred dealer is closed, Volkswagen will still honour the warranty. 

Once the dealership has resumed operations, it is vital that you visit the dealership as soon as possible without delay. If the dealership is not closed, please ensure that your vehicle's service appointment is not missed."

What should I do if my car breaks down during the Recovery Movement Control Order?

Our Roadside Assistance service will remain operational for our owners, hence owners can call our toll-free number at 1-800-88-2389 for this.

Your vehicle will be towed to the nearest Dealer. 


Additionally, please be assured that our Customer Care team is available during this period on the toll-free number 1-800-18-8947.

Will you pay for my medical if I get infected with COVID-19 since the Volkswagen Service Centre is the last place I visited?

No. The customer will need to go the nearest government hospital supporting COVID-19 cases.

Will I be provided a replacement/courtesy car since my vehicle will be held at the Service Centre throughout the Recovery Movement Control Order period?

Our Service Centres have a limited number of courtesy cars. Please request the service from your preferred Service Centre.
