The protection of your privacy is particularly important to us. Therefore, we will provide you with detailed information about the collection of personal and anonymous data.
At Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia, we value your privacy and we will strive to protect your personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA"). Please take note of the following:
- "VPCM", "we" and "us" refer to Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia Sdn Bhd which shall include its dealers, suppliers and third party agents;
- "Personal data" refers to any information which relates directly or indirectly to you and/or your transactions with us. This information includes but is not limited to your name, IC number, address, contact details, and such other necessary information regarding yourself and your transaction(s) with us; and
- "Processing" refers to collecting, recording, holding or storing your personal data or carrying out any operation or set of operations on the personal data in regard to a commercial transaction.
1. Collection of your personal data
VPCM collects your personal data if you provide them to us such as, but not limited to, when you purchase our product, use our products or services (e.g. request for a test drive), register with us to receive product updates, respond to our surveys or raise a complaint. By providing us with your personal data or using our products and service, you agree and acknowledge that we may collect, use and disclose your personal data in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Notice.
Your personal data may additionally be provided by a third party (e.g. your spouse, a company in which you are a director, officer or shareholder) or obtained from third parties authorised by you to provide the personal data. You are responsible to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information to VPCM. Information collected is obligatory unless stated otherwise. Failure to provide VPCM with the obligatory information may result in us being unable to provide you with the relevant products and services you requested or process the relevant transactions.
2. Information collected from our website
When you visit our website, your IP address is automatically logged in our server. We are notified merely of the name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP), the website from which you accessed our site and which of our website pages you visited. This information is evaluated for statistical purposes. Your anonymity as an individual is preserved. VPCM places cookies on your computer when you visit our websites. You can determine the extent to which cookies are enabled or disabled by means of settings on your computer (usually in your Web browser, such as Internet Explorer). You agree to cookies being placed on your computer if your browser is set to allow them.
3. Use and disclosure of your personal data
The personal data collected will be used and processed for purposes which includes but is not limited to providing you with our products and services, contract execution, handling of your inquiries, analysis of customer satisfaction, promotional, customer relationship management and market research purposes, for the customisation of our products and services according to your preferences and for the fulfilment of any regulatory requirements. Additionally, to provide you with specially tailored promotional offers, your personal data may be used to construct a user profile when you visit the Volkswagen portals. Your personal data may also be disclosed for any corporate transactions. Your personal data held by us shall be kept confidential. Your personal data may be disclosed to (either in Malaysia or overseas) Volkswagen AG, its subsidiaries or affiliate companies, VPCM authorised dealers, suppliers, third party advisors, service providers or consultants, regulatory or authority bodies and any other related parties that VPCM deems necessary to disclose to. From time to time, you may receive marketing materials from VPCM or our third parties about VPCM's products and services. If you do not wish to receive these marketing materials, you may withdraw your consent by visiting your nearest dealer or by contacting us at 1800-18-8947. We will abide by your latest instructions. Please note that when you withdraw your consent, you will not receive any promotional and marketing offers from us.
4. Protection and Retention of your personal data
The security of your personal data is important to us. We have implemented appropriate technical and physical security measures to safeguard your personal data. If we disclose any of your personal data to our authorised agents or service providers, we will require them to appropriately safeguard the personal data provided to them. VPCM will retain your personal data as long as it is required to fulfil our contractual obligation to you or if required to satisfy any legal or regulatory requirements or to protect VPCM's interests. When your record is no longer needed, we will dispose your records appropriately.
5. Right of access to your personal data
You may request for access to your personal data processed by VPCM for a chargeable fee. We may take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request for access to your personal data. Please visit your nearest dealer or contact us at 1800-18-8947 to request for access in writing. In the event that your personal data held by VPCM is incomplete, incorrect, misleading or not up-to-date, you may request to correct your personal data. In addition, you can limit the processing of your personal data.

6. Changes to Privacy Notice
VPCM has the right to amend this Privacy Notice and you are advised to check this Privacy Notice on a regular basis or visit your nearest dealer to obtain a copy of the Privacy Notice. This Privacy Notice was last updated January 2025.

Melindungi privasi anda adalah penting buat kami. Justeru, kami akan memberikan maklumat terperinci mengenai pengumpulan data peribadi dan data tanpa nama.

- "VPCM", "kami" dan "kita" merujuk kepada Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia Sdn Bhd yang merangkumi pengedar, pembekal dan agen pihak ketiganya;
- "Data Peribadi" merujuk kepada apa jua maklumat yang berhubung secara langsung atau tidak langsung dengan anda dan/atau transaksi anda dengan kami. Maklumat itu tidak terhad kepada nama, nombor kad pengenalan, alamat, maklumat hubungan dan maklumat lain yang berkaitan dengan diri anda serta transaksi anda dengan kami; dan
- "Memproses" merujuk kepada aktiviti mengumpul, merekod, memegang atau menyimpan data peribadi anda atau melakukan sebarang operasi atau satu set operasi ke atas data peribadi bagi tujuan transaksi komersial.
1. Mengumpul data peribadi anda
VPCM akan mengumpul data peribadi anda apabila anda memberikannya kepada kami, tetapi tidak terhad kepada apabila anda membeli produk kami, menggunakan produk atau perkhidmatan (misalnya memohon untuk pandu uji), mendaftar dengan kami untuk menerima kemas kini produk, memberi maklum balas terhadap kaji selidik atau membuat aduan. Apabila anda memberi data peribadi anda kepada kami atau anda mengguna produk dan perkhidmatan kami, anda bersetuju dan membenarkan kami mengumpul, mengguna, dan menzahirkan data peribadi anda mengikut terma Notis Privasi ini. Data peribadi anda mungkin juga disediakan oleh pihak ketiga (misalnya pasangan anda, syarikat di mana anda seorang pengarah, pegawai atau pemegang saham) atau diperoleh daripada pihak ketiga yang dibenarkan oleh anda untuk menyediakan data peribadi anda.
Anda bertanggungjawab untuk memberikan maklumat yang tepat, lengkap dan terkini kepada VPCM. Pengumpulan maklumat itu adalah wajib, melainkan ia dinyatakan sebaliknya. Kegagalan untuk memberikan maklumat wajib kepada VPCM mungkin boleh menyebabkan kami tidak dapat menyediakan produk dan perkhidmatan relevan yang anda minta atau memproses transaksi berkaitan.
2. Maklumat yang dikumpul daripada laman web kami
Apabila anda mengunjungi laman web kami, alamat IP anda akan dilog masuk ke dalam pelayan kami secara automatik. Kami hanya akan diberitahu tentang nama Penyedia Perkhidmatan (ISP), laman web di mana anda mengakses laman web kami dan laman web kami yang mana anda lawati. Maklumat dinilai untuk tujuan statistik. Anonimiti (ketanpanamaan) anda sebagai individu akan dilindungi. VPCM akan meletakkan cookies ke dalam komputer anda apabila anda melawat laman web kami. Bukan itu sahaja, untuk menawarkan promosi yang di khas buat anda, data peribadi mungkin digunakan bagi membina satu profil pengguna apabila anda melayari laman-laman web Volkswagen. Data peribadi anda mungkin akan dizahirkan untuk tujuan transaksi korporat.
Data peribadi yang kami simpan akan dirahsiakan. Data peribadi anda mungkin dizahirkan (sama ada di Malaysia atau luar negara) kepada Volkswagen AG, anak syarikat atau syarikat gabungannya atau pengedar sah, pembekal, penasihat, pembekal perkhidmatan atau perunding pihak ketiga VPCM, badan kawal selia atau pihak berkuasa dan mana-mana pihak berkaitan yang VPCM fikir maklumat tersebut perlu dizahirkan kepada mereka.
Dari semasa ke semasa, anda mungkin menerima bahan pemasaran daripada VPCM atau pihak ketiga mengenai produk dan perkhidmatan VPCM. Jika anda tidak mahu menerima bahan pemasaran ini, anda boleh menarik balik kebenaran anda dengan mengunjungi pengedar terdekat anda atau menghubungi kami di talian 1800-18-8947. Kami akan mematuhi arahan terkini anda. Sila maklum bahawa apabila anda menarik balik kebenaran anda, anda tidak lagi akan menerima apa-apa tawaran promosi atau pemasaran daripada kami.
4. Perlindungan dan Pengekalan data peribadi anda
Keselamatan data peribadi anda adalah penting buat kami. Kami telah melaksanakan langkah-langkah teknikal dan keselamatan fizikal yang sewajarnya untuk melindungi data peribadi anda. Jika kami menzahirkan data peribadi anda kepada agen-agen sah atau penyedia perkhidmatan kami, kami akan meminta supaya mereka melindungi data peribadi anda yang diberikan kepada mereka.
VPCM akan menyimpan data peribadi anda selagi ia diperlukan untuk memenuhi tanggungjawab kontrak kami kepada anda atau untuk memenuhi keperluan perundangan atau pengawalseliaan atau untuk melindungi kepentingan VPCM. Apabila rekod anda tidak lagi diperlukan, kami akan memusnahkan rekod anda dengan sewajarnya.
5. Hak untuk mengakses data peribadi anda
Anda boleh meminta kebenaran untuk mengakses data peribadi yang diproses oleh VPCM tertakluk kepada caj yang dikenakan. Kami akan mengambil langkah-langkah sewajarnya untuk mengesahkan identiti anda sebelum memenuhi permintaan anda untuk mengakses data peribadi anda. Jika data peribadi yang ada pada VPCM tidak lengkap, salah, mengelirukan atau tidak dikemas kini, anda boleh memohon untuk membetulkan data peribadi tersebut. Sebagai tambahan, anda boleh mengehadkan pemprosesan data peribadi anda.
Sila kunjungi pengedar terdekat anda atau hubungi talian 1800-18-8947 untuk memohon pembetulan atau untuk mengehadkan pemprosesan data peribadi anda. VPCM mempunyai hak untuk menolak permohonan mengakses atau membetulkan data peribadi, terutama apabila pemohon gagal mengesahkan identitinya.
6. Perubahan Notis Privasi
VPCM mempunyai hak untuk mengubah Notis Privasi dan anda dinasihatkan supaya sentiasa membaca Notis Privasi ini atau kunjungi pengedar terdekat untuk mendapatkan salinan Notis Privasi. Kali terakhir Notis Privasi dikemas kini adalah pada Januari 2025.
