COVID-19 FAQ

All Volkswagen showrooms will be closed throughout this period however our eShowroom remains open and accessible to customers who are interested in purchasing a Volkswagen during this period. Some of Volkswagen service centres will remain operational however with strict safety protocols in place and with reduced manpower. Find out which service centre are currently operational.

What steps are being taken to ensure that I am safe when I drop my vehicle off or pick it up?

The health of customers and staff is our priority. In the matter of vehicle preparation and handovers Volkswagen Malaysia has recommended exemplary cleaning procedures to its Dealers. This involves the use of disinfectants and emphasises cleaning the most commonly touched surfaces:

  •    Door handles (interior and exterior) and interior door pulls
  •   Window switches / handles
  •   Steering wheel
  •   Gear shift knobs and levers
  •   In-car controls and knobs (entertainment units and similar)
  •   Seat belts and buckles
  •   Centre consoles
  •   Boot handles / releases
  •   Fuel releases / flaps
  •   Staff wear disposable gloves and facemasks during this process

 

I have made full payment for my vehicle and have also scheduled for the vehicle to be delivered during the lockdown period. How will this be handled?

A representative from the dealership will be in touch with you to confirm the vehicle delivery date at your convenient after the lockdown period.

Will my warranty be void if I miss my appointment during the lockdown period?

As our service centres are open during this time, please ensure that your vehicle's service appointment is not missed.

Nevertheless, if you are not able to travel due to restriction in MCO areas, Volkswagen will still honor the warranty.

What should I do if my car breaks down during the lockdown period?

Our Roadside Assistance service will remain operational for our owners, hence owners can call our toll-free number at 1-800-88-2389 for this.

Your vehicle will be towed to the nearest Dealer. 


Additionally, please be assured that our Customer Care team is available during this period on the toll-free number 1-800-18-8947.

Will you pay for my medical if I get infected with COVID-19 since the Volkswagen Service Centre is the last place I visited?

No. The customer will need to go the nearest government hospital supporting COVID-19 cases.

Will I be provided a replacement/courtesy car throughout the lockdown period?

Our Service Centres have a limited number of courtesy cars. Please request the service from your preferred Service Centre.
