Locally assembled at the Volkswagen plant in Pekan, the all-new Tayron is available in two distinct variants: the sophisticated Elegance with refined comfort and advanced technology, and the performance-driven R-Line featuring dynamic sportiness and a strong road presence. The recommended retail price for the Elegance is RM189,890, while the R-Line is currently available for preview only with an estimated price range of RM259,000 and RM269,000. Performance for all

The Elegance embodies refined sophistication centred on comfort, advanced technology and practicality with every drive.

• High fuel economy with a 1.5-litre eTSI mild hybrid engine producing 150PS and 250Nm of torque.

• 48-volt belt-driven starter-alternator and Active Cylinder Management (ACTplus).

With ACTplus, two of the engine’s four cylinders switch off as often as possible, depending on the operating situation at low and medium loads and speeds. Efficiency increases in the active cylinders, while the passive cylinders run almost loss-free.

The additional power of the 48-volt system acts like a booster, optimising the drive-off performance of the eTSI engine. The electrical energy used is recovered via recuperation harvested during deceleration and braking. At the same time, the energy stored in the battery enables the engine to be switched off at times and thus allows coasting, together delivering excellent fuel efficiency.

For those seeking a more dynamic drive, the Tayron R-Line combines bold styling with exhilarating performance.

• A powerful 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged engine producing 265PS and 400Nm of torque.

Both variants are equipped with seven-speed DSG transmission and Volkswagen Dynamic Chassis Control Pro (DCC Pro), which automatically adapts the suspension to changing road conditions for an ideal balance of comfort, stability and driving confidence.

Unmistakeable presence with contemporary Volkswagen design The all-new Tayron introduces Volkswagen's latest SUV design language. The front appears particularly high, underlining the SUV’s confidence. The large, sculptured bonnet is heavily contoured to the outer edges. At the top, the silhouette is characterised by the long roof line. Like the front, the rear features striking light designs that stylishly complement the bumpers.

The all-new Tayron blends elevated comfort with everyday versatility through its flexible seven-seat layout with up to 1,905 litres of luggage capacity (2nd and 3rd row folded).

Flexible 40:20:40 second-row and 50:50 third-row split-folding seats adapt easily to changing passenger and cargo needs, while the Hands-Free Tailgate makes loading and unloading effortless.

Varenna leather ergoActive Plus front seats feature 12-way electric adjustment, heating, ventilation and a 10-air-cushion pneumatic massage function with program sequences with the duration of 10 to 30 minutes, delivering exceptional comfort on both everyday drives and longer journeys.

Further enhancing the interior atmosphere are the respective sound systems, with an 8-Speaker sound system in the Elegance. Meanwhile the R-Line hosts an impressive Harman Kardon sound system with 10 + 1 speakers, a dedicated subwoofer, a 700-watt output and a 16-channel digital amplifier.

At the heart of the all-new Tayron is Volkswagen's latest-generation digital ecosystem designed to create a more connected, intuitive and engaging driving feel.

Both variants feature a multifunction sports steering wheel with shift paddles, while the steering-column-mounted gear selector frees up space for a cleaner and more practical centre console layout.

A new Centre Console Multi-Function Control provides quick, tactile access to driving modes, ambient lighting and control speaker volume through an intuitive rotary controller.

Connectivity is further enhanced via new infotainment systems; a 12.9-inch Discover display in the Elegance, and a 15-inch Discover Pro Max display in the R-Line. Both feature MIB4 software and support Wireless App-Connect for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring seamless smartphone integration.

Both variants are equipped with IDA voice assistant for hands-free control, and the 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, providing a fully configurable high- resolution instrument display that places essential information directly within the driver's field of vision. A head-up display in the R-Line variant further assists the driver by projecting key information onto the windshield: speed, navigation instructions, and driver assistance alerts.

Safety remains at the heart of every Volkswagen. The all-new Tayron was awarded the maximum 5-star safety rating in the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) assessments.
