The optionally available parking steering assistant "Park Assist" uses its sensors to measure both sides of the road as you drive past and finds the right parking space for you. When you now use the indicator, the system recognizes which side of the road you want to park on and starts the process. "Park Assist" automatically steers into parallel and perpendicular parking spaces and, within the limits of the system, also steers the vehicle into tight parking spaces. You take over the accelerator and braking. The practical assistant also parks your Volkswagen out of the parallel parking space. However, you always retain control of your car.
