COVID-19 FAQ

Will Volkswagen and all authorized Das WeltAuto dealerships be open during the Restricted Movement Order period?

As per guidelines set by the Malaysian Government under the Restricted Movement Order, all Volkswagen Dealerships and Service Centres will be closed for business from the 18th of March to 14th April 2020.

 

Will I still be able to purchase a car from Volkswagen during this time?

As our Showrooms are closed, this will not be possible. However, you will still be able to sign up for a test drive at our website (www.volkswagen.com.my). Once the Restricted Movement Order is lifted, a representative from our Showroom will be in touch with you to make the arrangements.

We at Volkswagen are working on bringing you a digital showroom soon. It is currently being worked on and more details will be shared once it is ready.

I have made full payment for my vehicle and have also scheduled for the vehicle to be delivered during the Restricted Movement Order period. How will this be handled?

A representative from the dealership will be in touch with you to reschedule the vehicle delivery once we resume business operations. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

 

Would I be able to renew my VIP plan at a Volkswagen dealership if my insurance expires during the Restricted Movement Order period?

VIP is only renewable at our authorized Dealerships, but as our Showrooms are closed during the Restricted Movement Order period, we are unable to provide insurance renewal during this period. A representative from the Dealership will be in touch with the customer on VIP-related queries once we resume business operations. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

 

Will all Volkswagen Service Centres be operational during the Restricted Movement Order period from 18 Mar - 14 Apr 2020?

As per guidelines set by the Malaysian Government under the Restricted Movement Order, all Volkswagen dealerships and service centres will be closed for business from the 18th of March to 14th April 2020.

 

Will my warranty be void if I miss my appointment during the Restricted Movement Order period?

If your service appointment happens to fall within the Restricted Movement Order period, Volkswagen will still honour the warranty. 

 

 

What happens to my car at the Service Center during this Restricted Movement Order? Will there be anyone attending to it in this time?

During the closure period, no repair work will be carried out on vehicles at the Service Centre.

Rest assured that your car is in safe hands as our dealerships have implemented the necessary security protocols during the nationwide Restricted Movement Order period. 

 

 

Will Volkswagen be able to deliver my car if I am supposed to get my car back during the Restrictive Movement Order period?

Unfortunately, if the Dealership is closed, this will not be possible and you will only be able to collect your vehicle after the Restricted Movement Order period is over.

 

 

What should I do if my car breaks down during the Restricted Movement Order?

Our Roadside Assistance service will remain operational for our owners, hence owners can call our toll-free number at 1-800-88-2389 for this.

Your vehicle will be towed to the nearest Dealer. However, repair work will only commence after the restricted movement period is over.

Additionally, please be assured that our Customer Care team is available during this period on the toll-free number 1-800-18-8947.

 

 

Will you pay for my medical if I get infected with COVID-19 since the Volkswagen Service Centre is the last place I visited?

No. The customer will need to go the nearest government hospital supporting COVID-19 cases.

 

 

Will I still get updates from the Service Centre during the Restricted Movement Order?

Will I be provided a replacement/courtesy car since my vehicle will be held at the Service Centre throughout the Restricted Movement Order period?

Unfortunately no, as our Dealerships will be closed during the Restricted Movement Order period.
